Buster + Punch Forked Ceiling Light — Opal Glass Globe, Medium

The Forked Ceiling Light with opal glass globe in medium distils Buster + Punch's workshop ethos into a single flush-mounted statement. A hand-blown opal glass globe sits within a cast solid-metal fork, every surface machined and refined by hand and finished with the label's signature diamond-cut linear knurling — the same detailing borrowed from custom motorbike parts that made the London brand famous.

Buster + Punch was founded in an East London garage by architect and industrial designer Massimo Buster Minale, and that origin still shows. The fitting combines machined and cast solid metal with hand-blown glass; nothing about it is decorative veneer. Each finish is worked by hand: solid brass lacquered to age gracefully into a deeper golden tone, crisp stainless steel that stays exactly as it left the box, and a durable gun metal PVD with a dark, easy-to-clean lustre.

Light quality is the point of this configuration: expect a clean, functional ambient light — the hand-blown opal glass diffuses the bulb evenly, giving genuinely useful illumination without a hint of glare. Sized for everyday spaces, the medium globe suits standard ceiling heights and works beautifully in multiples — try a pair along a hallway or three across a landing.

Frequently asked questions

Is the bulb included? Yes — every light ships with the Forked-specific dimmable Buster Bulb, designed for this fitting.

Can I dim it? Yes, with an LED-compatible dimmer switch such as Buster + Punch's own dimmers, also available at Araco Interiors.

How will the brass finish age? The solid brass is sealed with two layers of satin lacquer and will mellow slowly from radiant brass to a deeper golden tone over a few years. Steel and Gun Metal keep their original finish indefinitely.

Is it suitable for bathrooms? With an IP20 rating it's designed for interior dry zones — hallways, bedrooms and living spaces rather than above baths or in shower zones.
