What should a trade furniture and lighting supplier actually provide?
For interior designers, hoteliers and developers, a good trade supplier is judged on five things: pricing that reflects the actual specification, accurate lead times, curated project sourcing rather than a catalogue dump, reliable delivery coordination, and a single point of contact who answers. Marketplaces rarely deliver all five; specialist suppliers do.
Note the wording on pricing. A single published trade percentage is easy to advertise and rarely survives contact with a real schedule — what a supplier can do varies by brand, by product and by quantity. How do lead times work for trade orders?
This is usually the part that decides whether a scheme lands on time, so it is worth separating the range into bands rather than quoting one figure.

Most schemes are not single-brand. A guest room might take a Tala wall light, an upholstered bed and a bedside table, each from a different maker on a different lead time. Bought separately that is three orders, three contacts and three delivery dates. Specified through one supplier it becomes a single quotation, a single order and one delivery plan — which is usually worth more on a project than a percentage.
