How Lladró Pieces Are Made
Every Lladró piece is handmade in Valencia by skilled artisans. The process involves:
- Modelling — the original form is sculpted by a Lladró artist, often taking weeks or months to complete
- Moulding — moulds are created from the original sculpture
- Casting — liquid porcelain (slip) is poured into the moulds and left to set
- Assembly — complex multi-element pieces are assembled by hand, each flower or figure applied individually
- Firing — pieces are fired at high temperature to vitrify the porcelain
- Painting — each piece is hand-painted using Lladró's proprietary colours, fired again to fix the decoration

How to Buy Lladró — What to Check
- Authenticity — every genuine Lladró piece has a mark on the base indicating it is authentic. At ARACO Interiors, all Lladró pieces are purchased directly through authorised distribution.
- Condition on delivery — Lladró pieces are fragile by nature of the material. Inspect carefully on receipt and report any damage immediately. We pack all Lladró pieces with care, but transit damage must be reported within 48 hours of receipt.
- Bulb compatibility — Lladró lighting pieces use standard bulb fittings. Most table lamps are E14 or E27; ceiling pieces vary. Always check the product page for the correct specification before ordering replacement bulbs.
